Steady As She Goes Captain!

That's exactly how trading feels to me!

It's rather like steering a ship (although I've never steered one before but I have rowed a boat!!) :0)

I mean, even when it comes to rowing a boat, has it ever crossed your mind that you may fall into the water, get wet or get stranded in the middle of wherever you are because you (or someone else) has dropped the oars into the water?

How's about thinking how deep the water is, or having to swim with your clothes on, I mean, is it as easy as they show it to be in the movies?

Is that water cold? Is another one!

When you see those movies (and I hope the portrayal is real) with the helmsman struggling to steer his ship through deep stormy uncharted waters or through a sea laden with icebergs to the left and right of them, I think to myself;

"Hey, Trading Correctly Is No Different!" is it?

I mean, we've got to take it steady as we go, haven't we?

Each day we trade is rather like going through uncharted waters, isn't it?

We have our stormy days too don't we?

Every day, we put ourselves on the edge, whether you're aware of it or not!

On a ship, they have their dinghy's, lifeboats and all other sorts of safety measures...

...and what do we have as traders?

Our 'Stop-Loss.'

Our 'Judgement.'

and

Our 'Super-Trader Traits' list.

Inch By Inch Trading Is A Cinch!

Mile By Mile, It Will Take A While!

But No Matter How You Take Your Course,

Keep It Steady As She Goes!
